Dr. Tao is the Director of our herbal department. He is also the supervisor of our Herbal Intern Program. Dr. Tao worked as a Physician's Assistant at the Guling Hospital of Shanghai in 1975-1986 in the Intern Medical Department. Dr. Tao was a Physician in internal medicine at the Jin Ling Hospital in Shanghai in 1986 to 1990. He has been a research assistant at the Boston Biomedical Research Institute (1990-92) and a Surgical Assistant at Massachusetts General Hospital starting in 1993.Dr. Tao received a MS in acupuncture from New England School of Acupuncture in 1999 and has a Certificate of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Basic Theory and Chinese Herbal Medicine (1980).He has been a Clinical Supervisor at the New England School of Acupuncture and instructor in Chinese Herbal Medicine Review.

Dr. Tao specializes in Internal Medicine, Gynecology and Orthopedics. He is available for appointments all day Monday and Friday mornings. He is fluent in both Chinese Mandarin and Shanghainese.

The Herbal Intern clinic operates Thursday mornings and Friday afternoons.
